A Manuel Antonio wedding is where the rainforest meets the beach in a way few other places in Costa Rica pull off — macaws fly overhead every few minutes here, not as a rare sighting but as part of the backdrop to your day. It's about 3 hours from San José, close enough that your guests aren't losing a full day of their trip just getting there.

For guests who want more than the beach, an ATV tour through the surrounding hills is a popular way to spend a free afternoon, and Montezuma Waterfall is close enough for a day trip. And when the ceremony does wrap around golden hour, the sunset here is some of the most dramatic on the Pacific coast.

A Puerto Viejo wedding runs on its own calendar — worth knowing before you pick a date. This coast follows the opposite weather pattern from the rest of Costa Rica, with its driest stretch often landing when the Pacific side is deep in rainy season.
